Our patented Flash Joule Heating process produces high-quality graphene from sustainable, low-cost carbon sources. No chemicals. No reactive gases. Just electricity and carbon.
the process

Graphene Works.

But Only When Produced and Dispersed Correctly.

step 01

Diverse Carbon Feedstocks

We begin with a wide range of low-cost and sustainable carbon sources: petroleum coke, metallurgical coke, biomass, recycled rubber, carbon black, and even food waste. These materials are collected and prepared as feedstock, transforming abundant and often discarded inputs into high-value advanced materials.

step 02

Flash Joule Heating

A short burst of electricity heats the feedstock to over 3,000°C, breaking all chemical bonds. Non-carbon impurities are flashed off, leaving the carbon to reorder. No chemicals. No reactive gases. Just electricity.

step 03

Turbostratic Graphene

Carbon elements reform into turbostratic graphene — loosely stacked layers with superior dispersibility vs. graphite-derived graphene. The result is >99% pure carbon with low defects, ready for downstream functionalization into Genable™ products.
