As an artist I can choose to paint the canvas white everyday or start from a pre-existing structure.  As a society we live within confined structures such as, education, government, politics, our jobs and economics.  Sometimes these structures seem outdated, ineffective or defective, and in need of serious change.  Environmental issues, socio-economic issues such as, poverty, war, starvation, and violence against women and children are seen as major issues in the world today.  However, these are not the issues, but are only symptoms of our societal belief system/worldview, symptoms of our cultural thinking.  The good news is humans built these structures, and as such can rebuild, demolish and create new structures, or restore the existing ones.
